Liar’s Dice: how to play

Everyone rolls their dice in secret (5 each, or 3 for a quick game). Then take turns bidding on all the dice on the table: “at least four 3s”.

Each bid must be higher: more dice, or the same number of a higher face. Instead of bidding you can:

• Call “Liar!”: everyone reveals. If there are fewer dice than the bid, the bidder loses a die; otherwise the caller does.
• Call “Exact” (option): if the count is exactly right you win back a die; if not, you lose one.

With ones wild (option), ones count as any face (except when bidding on ones). The loser of a round starts the next. Lose all your dice and you’re out; the last player with dice wins.
